Danny Cohen: How to make ‘The King’ speak in pictures

Cinematographer Danny Cohen could’ve opted to give “The King’s Speech” a big, epic, regal look, but it’s not a movie about pageantry, as he sees it. It’s more of a personal story about a man’s struggle with a stammer than a king battling drama in his realm. Cohen deliberately kept his camera’s perspective “quite intimate,” he tells Gold Derby, adding, “When you go big and use a big vista, you use it very sparingly.”
