Grammy Predictions: Best Country Performance By A Duo or Group with Vocals

Gold Derby’s music experts Darrin Dortch and David Schnelwar say there is no potential spoiler in this race as they agree that one nominee should and will win this award. They already have forecast Best Male Country Vocal Performance and Best Female Country Vocal Performance.

BEST COUNTRY PERFORMANCE BY A DUO OR GROUP WITH VOCALS
“Free,” Zac Brown Band
“Elizabeth,” Dailey & Vincent
“Need You Now,” Lady Antebellum
“Little White Church,” Little Big Town
“Where Rainbows Never Die,” The SteelDrivers

Darrin’s take: Lady Antebellum is nominated throughout the General Field and country field and are a lock to win here. No one else has a chance, though the Zac Brown Band’s single is the best song out of this lineup.

Will win: “Need You Now,” Lady Antebellum
Should win: “Free,” Zac Brown Band
Spoiler: No one

David’s take: Lady Antebellum won this category last year. Their three nominations in the General Field and three nominations in the Country filed make them a lock to win again. Zac Brown Band and Little Big Town have other Country Field nominations this year but will not win.   Dailey & Vincent  and The Steeldrivers are non-factors.

Will win: “Need You Now,” Lady Antebellum
Should win: “Need You Now,” Lady Antebellum
Spoiler: No one
