Razzies worst led by ‘Last Airbender’ and ‘Twilight: Eclipse’

One-time Oscar contender M. Night Shyamalan (“The Sixth Sense”) led the way for worst filmmaking this year according to nominations for the Razzie Awards. A two-time 2006 Razzie winner for the tepid “Lady in the Water,” Shyamalan’s latest critical flop — “The Last Airbender” — landed nine nods to tie with “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” for the most bids.

Both of those films vie for worst picture with “The Bounty Hunter,” “Sex and the City 2” and “Vampires Suck.” The three leads from “Eclipse” — Taylor Lautner, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart — are up for worst acting — as are the four “gal pals” from “SATC 2.”

Last year, good sport Sandra Bullock showed up to collect her kudo for worst actress award (“All About Steve”) the night before she won the Oscar for “The Blind Side.” While this year’s nominees for the Razzies do not include any current Oscar contenders, three past Best Actress champs are in the running for worst supporting actress: Cher (“Burlesque”), Liza Minnelli (“Sex and the City 2″
) and Barbra Streisand (“Little Fockers”).

The 31st annual edition of these awards take place on Feb. 26 — the night before the Oscars — at at the Barnsdall Gallery Theatre in Hollywood.
