“What an incredible slate of Best Picture nominees!” roars Gold Derby senior editor Matt Noble. “We really have a mixed bag of everything — from toys that can talk to kings who can’t, from lesbian ballet dancers to a straight lesbian in ‘The Kids Are All Right.’ Everybody feels they’re entitled to that Best Picture trophy. Well, I wanted to sort it out so I invited all of the Best Picture nominees to send a representative to my dining room so that I could meet with them and hear all their cases and see who really was entitled to that Best Picture Oscar.”
