All five Oscar nominees for Best Production Design are nominated for one of the three film awards bestowed by the Art Directors Guild, which announce their winners tomorrow, February 2.
“Anna Karenina” leads with 8/5 odds. Also the frontrunner at the Oscars, the film reimagines Leo Tolstoy‘s tragic romance with a vast theater stage standing in for 19th century Russia. Production designer Sarah Greenwood previously won this category in 2009 for “Sherlock Holmes.”
“Les Miserables” is close behind with 13/5 odds. Two editors and more than 50 users predict the lavish musical adaptation to prevail. The film was designed by Eve Stewart, who won this category in 2010 for her last collaboration with director Tom Hooper: “The King’s Speech.”

“Lincoln” is in third place with 9/2 odds with the support of more than a dozen users. Production designer Rick Carter previously won an Oscar and an ADG Award for his work on “Avatar.”
“Django Unchained” is fourth with 15/2 odds. Designer J. Michael Riva, who died in June 2012, was previously nominated by the ADG for his work on “Iron Man” as well as the 74th annual Oscar telecast.
