Rihanna and Beyonce have evenly split the last six American Music Awards for Favorite Female Soul/R&B Artist. Beyonce won the last two in a row, but she isn’t nominated this year, which is good news for Rihanna if our current predictions are any indication.
Rihanna is ahead with 10/9 odds to add a fourth trophy to the ones she won in 2007, 2008, and 2010. She has four overall nominations this year, including Artist of the Year. The 25-year-old singer has also been chosen to receive the inaugural Icon Award for her body of work.
Ciara is a distant third in the race with 4/1 odds. This is her second AMA nomination, coming eight years after her first bid in 2005, when she lost this category to Mariah Carey.
