“My strategy is to go big or go home,” roars Daily Racing Form pundit Jay Privman when sizing up his strategy when betting on the Breeders’ Cup Classic, which will be held Saturday. He acknowledges that Game on Dude is the widespread fave to win with 2-to-1 odds, but ” from a betting standpoint, I think Palace Malice is the best gamble” with 10-to1 odds set by the pros.
“Game on Dude is probably the best horse in the race, but he’s going to be a much shorter price,” Privman says in our video chat. “This is a gambling sport and it’s not about getting blue ribbons for picking the winner.” He insists that there’s “a better risk reward ratio” to backing Palace Malice.
