Luke Bryan, Eric Church and Miranda Lambert picked up a leading four nominations apiece for the 12th annual edition of the CMT Music Awards. All three are among the dozen contenders for the top prize of Video of the Year. (Full list of nominations here.)
Bryan, the surprise winner of Entertainer of the Year at last months ACM Awards, vies with “Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye.” He and Church, who is up for “Springsteen,” also face off in two other categories — male video and CMT performance — and are nominated together along with Jason Aldean for collaborative video (“The Only Way I Know”).
Lambert is also up for female video for “Mama’s Broken Heart”, group video for Pistol Annies‘ Takin’ Pills and CMT performance.
Aldean, who is co-hosting the kudos with Kristen Bell, contends for Video of the Year with “1994” as do a pair of other three-time nominees — Kenny Chesney (“Come Over”) and Florida Georgia Line (“Cruise”). Rascal Flatts also reaped three bids.
Six of the two-time contenders are in the race for Video of the Year as well: Hunter Hayes (“Wanted”), Little Big Town ( “Tornado”), Tim McGraw (“One of Those Nights”), Brad Paisley ( “Southern Comfort Zone”), Taylor Swift (“We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together”) and Carrie Underwood (“Blown Away”).

Voting for the awards begins online Monday and runs through June 3. The show will air live on CMT June 5 from Nasvhille.
