‘The Voice’ stops long Emmy-winning run of ‘The Amazing Race’

NBC talent show “The Voice” finally put a stop to the long-running Emmy streak by “The Amazing Race” at the 65th Emmy ceremony Sunday night.

The CBS action reality program has won as Best Reality-Competition Program nine of the past 10 years. The only other time it was defeated was in 2010 by “Top Chef.”

The show is hosted by Carson Daly and features music judges Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton. It defeated the two above-mentioned programs as well as “Dancing With the Stars,” “Project Runway,” and “So You Think You Can Dance.”
