Emmys dream ballot winners: ‘Parks and Recreation,’ ‘Breaking Bad,’ Louis C.K.

While the Emmys cooled on “Parks and Recreation” giving it just two noms (actress, sound mixing), our readers are hot for this NBC laffer. It tops their Dream Emmy Ballots for Comedy Series, Comedy Actress (Emmy nominee Amy Poehler), Comedy Supporting Actor (Nick Offerman) and Comedy Guest Actor (Patton Oswalt).

Modern Family” — which our readers predict is way out in front to be named Best Comedy for a fourth year in a row at the Emmys — is only in fifth when it comes to which show they want to win. And while that show’s Ty Burrell is predicted to take home a second supporting actor trophy, he is in third place with our readers.

Likewise for the predicted Emmy champs in lead and supporting actress — Julia Louis-Dreyfus (“Veep“) and Jane Krakowski (“30 Rock“) — who are both second in our readers’ poll.

And while our readers dream of Emmys for two snubbed funny ladies from “Arrested Development — supporting player Jessica Walter and guest Liza Minnelli — they do agree with the TV academy on Comedy Actor predicting their personal pick, Louis C.K. to win for “Louie.”

On the drama front, our readers’ dreams and Emmy predictions line up for four categories. Three of those are for “Breaking Bad” — Drama Series, Actor (Bryan Cranston) and Supporting Actress (Anna Gunn). And while our readers predict that Jonathan Banks will win the Supporting Actor Emmy for his work on that show, they dream of his co-star Aaron Paul winning his third Emmy. Our readers also back the bid by Claire Danes to repeat at the Emmys as Drama Actress for “Homeland.”

However, they differ on the guest acting races, opting for Diana Rigg (“Game of Thrones“) over Jane Fonda (“The Newsroom“) and the snubbed Matthew Perry over Nathan Lane for their appearances on “The Good Wife.”
