Here’s how you can vote for the Gold Derby Film Awards

Gold Derby readers have such passionate opinions about awards that they often have the nerve to disagree with Oscar voters on the best movies and performances of a year. In 2012, for example, when academy members picked “Argo” for Best Picture and Christoph Waltz (“Django Unchained”) for Best Supporting Actor, our users selected “Silver Linings Playbook” and Leonardo DiCaprio (“Django Unchained”) as winners of our Gold Derby Awards.

Here is a list of all of our past nominees and winners dating back to 2002.

And here is how you can now vote for our upcoming nominations, which will be unveiled on Feb. 6. Sign in to your account (or else log in using your Facebook account) and go to your profile page. Click on the blue button for “Gold Derby Awards.”

Scroll down to see category boxes.

When you click on the link for Best Picture, for example, you’ll get a pop-up box with lots of options.

One by one grab your choices from the left column and drop them into the right column, arranging them in the order you would like them to win. Then click the yellow “Save Votes” button and move on to the next category.

At any time you can change and review your picks by clicking on the “Gold Derby Awards” blue button or else on the link in the left column menu of your profile area.
