Golden Globes nominations predictions: ’12 Years a Slave,’ Leonardo DiCaprio …

The Golden Globes have been hit-and-miss as an Oscar predictor in recent years, despite giving two awards for Best Picture: one for drama, another for musicals and comedies. The Hollywood Foreign Press Assn. has predicted the winner of the top Oscar only three times in the last nine years.

However, the last two Oscar champs had been Globe winners: “Argo” on the drama side and musical/comedy winner “The Artist.” Will this year’s awards be another preview of the academy’s main event?

Below, our predictions for Thursday’s nominees in 10 film races based upon a  combination of the four sets of forecasts  at Gold Derby:  Experts ,  Editors ,   Users   and  Top 24 Users  (who scored highest predicting Globe nominations last year). Our forecasted champs are in gold while potential spoilers for nominations are in italics.
