What will win Best Urban Contemporary Album at Grammys?

Our two music awards editors — David Schnelwar and Darrin Dortch — agree on the winner of Best Urban Contemporary at this Sunday’s Grammys.

“Fortune” – Chris Brown
“Kaleidoscope Dream” Miguel
“Channel Orange” – Frank OceanDavid, Darrin

David’s analysis
Best Contemporary R&B Album returns this year, revamped as Best Urban Contemporary Album.

Last year, Chris Brown’s “F.A.M.E.” won Best R&B Album. He returns this year to face stiffer competition with his follow-up album “Fortune.”

Frank Ocean’s “Channel Orange” is the frontrunner to win due to his nomination for Album of the Year.

However, there is still a possibility Miguels “Kaleidoscope Dream” could upset and sweep the R&B Field since Ocean was snubbed for Best R&B Performance and Best R&B Song.

Darrin’s analysis
Album of the Year nominee Frank Ocean should easily prevail here, but watch out for Miguel’s “Kaleidoscope Dream.” Miguel scored five nominations this year and could spoil.
