What will win Best Country Album at Grammys?

Our two music awards editors — David Schnelwar and Darrin Dortch — disagree on the winner of Best Country Album at this Sunday’s Grammys.

“Uncaged” – Zac Brown Band
Hunter Hayes” – Hunter Hayes — Darrin
“Living For A Song: A Tribute To Hank Cochran” – Jamey Johnson
“Four The Record” – Miranda LambertDavid
“The Time Jumpers” – The Time Jumpers

David’s analysis
None of this year’s nominees for Best Country Album are nominated for Album of the Year.

Hunter Hayes has three nominations this year including Best New Artist and Best Country Solo Performance.

Zac Brown Band and Jamey Johnson have both been nominated twice before in this category and lost.

Miranda Lambert’s “Revolution” (2010) lost to Lady Antebellum’s “Need You Now” in this category. With no Album of the Year nominee to compete against, Lambert looks like the winner.

Darrin’s analysis
This race is a complete and utter tossup. No one act was consistently nominated in the country field this year.

Hunter Hayes is up for Best New Artist and Country Solo while The Time Jumpers scored a Country Duo/Group Performance nod. And Miranda Lambert and Zac Brown Band are bigger names who were snubbed everywhere else in the country field.

I’m giving Hayes the slight edge since he scored the most overall nominations.
