What will win Best Dance/Electronica Album at Grammys?

Our two music awards editors — Darrin Dortch and David Schnelwar — disagree on the winner of Best Dance/Electronica Album at this Sunday’s Grammys.

“Wonderland” – Steve Aoki
“Don’t Think” – The Chemical Brothers
“>Album Title Goes Here<” – Deadmau5
“Fire & Ice” – Kaskade
“Bangarang” – SkrillexDarrin, David

Darrin’s analysis
Skrillex won three Grammys last year and is the only act nominated in both dance field categories this year. This is a no-brainer.

David’s analysis
Last year, Deadmau5 became the first EDM artist to appear on the cover of Rolling Stone.

The Chemical Brothers won this category twice: “Push The Button” (2005) and “We Are The Night” (2007).

In spite of this, Skrillex is the frontrunner to win Best Dance/Electronic Album because he is the only contender also nominated for Best Dance Recording.
