Fun. predicted to win 5 Grammys, 4 each for Kanye West, Jay-Z

Our Grammy experts are predicting a big night for Fun. With six nominations, the indie pop trio is tied for the most overall bids, and they’re expected to win five of them: Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Pop Duo/Group Performance for their single “We Are Young“; Pop Album for “Some Nights“; and Best New Artist.  However, Mumford & Sons is predicted to stop Fun.’s sweep by winning Album of the Year for “Babel.” (See predicted winners in 35 races here.)

Also leading with six nominations apiece are Kanye West and Jay-Z, who are expected to win four for their collaborations from their “Watch the Throne” album: Rap Performance and Rap Song for “Ni**as in Paris,” and Rap/Sung Collaboration and Short-Form Video for “No Church in the Wild.”

Four wins for West would bring his career total to 22, which would tie him with U2 and Stevie Wonder as Grammy’s sixth most honored artist. Four wins would bring Jay-Z’s total to 18, which would tie him for 13th place among all-time winners.
