Jennifer Lawrence, Channing Tatum predicted to win big at MTV Movie Awards

Two of Hollywood’s hottest stars — Jennifer Lawrence and Channing Tatum — are expected to dominate the MTV Movie Awards Sunday.  (See category breakdown of predicted winners and spoilers here.)

Lawrence, who won the Best Actress Oscar for her work in “Silver Linings Playbook,” is predicted to pick up two popcorn buckets for that film — Female Performance and Kiss (shared with Bradley Cooper). And such is the love for Lawrence that she is tipped to take the Scared As … award for the little-seen “House at the End of the Street.”

Last year, Lawrence won two of her four bids for “The Hunger Games” — Female Performance and Fight (along with Josh Hutcherson and Alexander Ludwig). She lost Hero to “Harry Potter” star Daniel Radcliffe and she and Hutcherson were bested for Kiss by Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson who won for a fourth straight year for the “Twilight” saga. However, those real-life lovebirds were snubbed for the final installment of the series this year.

Tatum is expected to win Male Performance for his role as a stripper in “Magic Mike” and, not surprisingly, Shirtless Performance as well. Last year, Tatum lost all four of his bids — Male Performance to Huthcerson, Hero to Radcliffe, Fight to Lawrence & company and Kiss (with Rachel McAdams) to the “Twilight” pair.

The Avengers” is on track to take Movie of the Year as well as Best Fight for the battle between the good guys and Tom Hiddleston.

While Anne Hathaway is expected to lose Female Performance to Lawrence, she is predicted to take home the Musical Moment award for the scene in “Les Miserables” that won her the Supporting Actress Oscar — singing the plaintive “I Dreamed a Dream.”

Oscarcast host Seth MacFarlane is tipped to take home two awards for “Ted” — Best Duo with Mark Wahlberg and WTF Moment for when Ted gets “saucy.”

And Leonardo DiCaprio is on track to win his third MTV Movie Award for his villainous role in “Django Unchained.”
