Shocking SAG Awards (TV) snubs: ‘House of Cards,’ Damian Lewis, Robin Williams

The SAG Award nominations for TV shows and performers went mostly as we predicted. However, as always, there were a few headscratchers (I’m looking at you Rob Lowe) which meant some of the strongest contenders were left out in the cold.

And with SAG combining lead and supporting performances on the TV side (it doesn’t do this for the film folk), the competition for the five slots per sex in each genre was intense. (Read about who did make the cut here.)

  1. Am I the only one who doesnt get The Crazy Ones? Everyone keeps predicting Williams for things, but I just cant sit through the show.

Its also interesting that while the Emmys clearly embraced Netflix as an equal contender…the SAGs were much colder towards it.

  2. Where is everyone from Ray Donovan??? Not to mention Peter Sarsgaard’s work on The Killing, which has been the best of his career so far.

  3. Most of those overpaid/overrated Marxist (Amy Poehler And Andre Braugher excepted) DESERVED (and got) NOTHING! #goodriddance #crazyonesbites

  4. How can you refer to the omissions as “jaw-droppers”? There are only 5 or 6 nominees in each category. There can’t be a dozen. Personally, I would leave off Mayim Bialik in favor of Amy Poehler. By the way, my spell check suggested I meant “potholder” rather than “Poehler”. lol
