‘Silver Linings Playbook,’ ‘Lincoln’ expected to win two SAG Awards each

Our Experts, Editors, and hundreds of Users have predicted the film winners of the Screen Actors Guild Awards, which will air live on Sunday, January 27, on TNT and TBS.

Silver Linings Playbook” gets best odds to win Best Ensemble, though not all of our predictors agree. The David O. Russell-directed comedy is backed by our Experts, but Editors narrowly favor “Les Miserables,” while Users are betting on “Lincoln.”

Elsewhere, “Lincoln” star Daniel Day-Lewis is expected to easily win Best Actor, while his co-star Tommy Lee Jones has the edge in the race for Best Supporting Actor.

  1. I’m curious as to why Lawrence seems to be edging out Chastain in the SAG predictions but Chastain is edging her out for the BAFTAs. Can anyone explain why? Do the BAFTAs not like comedic performances?

  2. @ shelly; SLP got snubbed in a lot of categories at BAFTAs. It’s not even in the running for Best Picture. It is obvious that the BAFTA does not like it as much as the Academy.
