With only seven contestants left, the race for who’ll be the next “American Idol” is really starting to heat up. And, according to Gold Derby’s racetrack odds,  three singers are frontrunners to win Season 13, two are in with a chance and another two definitely won’t be claiming the title.

Let’s analyze the current odds of each of the remaining Top 7 contestants, from first to worst:

Caleb Johnson is your current “Idol” favorite, with 6/5 odds to win. Caleb is no stranger to topping our leaderboards, as he previously appeared in the #1 position last week and again during during Top 10 Week. Can Caleb be the first rock star “American Idol” winner since David Cook‘s victory in Season 7? (See our photo gallery of past winners below.)

Second place goes to Jena Irene with 3/1 odds to win. She almost always appears near the top of our winner’s chart, however, does the fact that she was in America’s bottom three earlier in the season mean that she can’t be the ultimate winner?

Third place is Alex Preston with 10/3 odds to win. Alex was your #1 choice during Top 9 Week, but he’s since fallen out of your graces. Can he rally enough support to make it to the end?

In fourth place is Sam Woolf with 11/1 odds to win. As we know, no one has ever won “American Idol” after being saved by the judges, so if Sam claims victory he will enter the record books for this long-running series.

Country singer Dexter Roberts lands in fifth place with 18/1 odds to win. Three years ago Scotty McCreery won “Idol” to massive success, but the show hasn’t crowned a country singer since then. Dexter will need to place better on our charts if he wants to follow Scotty’s path.

Sixth place goes to Jessica Meuse with 33/1 odds to win. Strangely, Jessica has never appeared in America’s bottom three, but she constantly appears in the bottom of our winner’s chart. Is Jessica simply too boring to win?

In dead last is C.J. Harris with 50/1 odds to win. He has been your pick to be eliminated from “American Idol” more times than we can count, but he’s always managed to survive elimination. Does C.J. have enough fans to last six more weeks of competition?
