‘American Idol’ shocker: Caleb Johnson in first again, Alex Preston falls to fourth

Talk about an “American Idol” power shift!

There was a major change this week to the American Idol” leaderboard as rocker Caleb Johnson reclaimed his position at the top of our charts with leading 7/5 odds to win Season 13.

But what about last week’s #1 singer Alex Preston?

Alex dropped all the way down to your #4 position with 11/2 odds, leading the way for Jena Irene to hop into second place with 13/5 odds and Dexter Roberts to take third place with 3/1 odds.

Caleb is no stranger to the #1 position, as he also appeared there during Top 10 Week. But ever since then, it was Alex who you were predicting to win, so seeing Alex drop down to fourth place is a real shocker.

Fifth place currently goes to Sam Woolf with 15/2 odds, who’s still in the competition by the narrowest of margins after the judges saved him last week.

Sixth place is Malaya Watson with 14/1 odds, while Jessica Meuse and C.J. Harris tie for last place with lowly 50/1 odds.

Do you agree with Gold Derby’s racetrack odds that Caleb, Jena and Dexter are the new Top 3 of Season 13?
