‘American Idol’ predictions: C.J. Harris or Sam Woolf will be eliminated this week

Attention “American Idol” singers C.J. Harris and Sam Woolf: You’re on the chopping block to be eliminated according to Gold Derby’s racetrack odds for Top 6 Week. Conversely, the frontrunners  are rockers Jena Irene and Caleb Johnson.

With the judges having used their Save, C.J. and Sam should be hoping for a miracle come Thursday night when America’s votes are revealed.

American Idol’ upset: Jena Irene knocks Caleb Johnson out of first place

For those keeping track at home, 23-year-old C.J. and 17-year-old Sam have both been in America’s bottom three a trio of times.

C.J. went free-fallin’ into America’s bottom three during Top 9 Week, Top 8 Week (Part One) and Top 8 Week (Part Two). And Sam would have been eliminated during Top 8 Week if not for the Judges’ Save.

As you can see on the chart at the left, C.J.’s odds of going home are 3/10, while Sam’s odds are at 13/2.

As for the remaining contestants, Jessica Meuse is in third place to be eliminated with 15/2 odds, Caleb is in fourth place with 28/1 odds to be sent home, while Alex Preston and Jena are tied for last place with 50/1 odds each.
