Carrie Preston is a busy woman. The recent Emmy winner is currently filming the final episodes of “True Blood” and she’s a likely Emmy contender again this year for her recurring guest star role on “The Good Wife.” Preston dished both roles on the red carpet at Thursday night’s Critics’ Choice TV Awards (watch below).
Lamenting the end of “True Blood,” Preston told us, “Well, they say every seven years you have all new cells in your body. Think about that. It was seven years with almost all [the same] people and it certainly changed our lives. It’s a really wonderful, bittersweet thing.”
Switching gears to the upcoming sixth season of “The Good Wife,” Preston revealed, “They’re saying they’re going to bring me back for a couple episodes. They’re not giving me [a series regular position], but hopefully there are gonna be a couple episodes.”
Preston and real-life husband Michael Emerson have three Emmys between them now: hers for guesting on “The Good Wife” last year and his for guesting on “The Practice” (2001) and for his supporting role on “Lost” (2009). “We play light sabers with them,” Preston joked.
