Miranda Lambert cleaned up in the CMA Award nominations, picking up bids in every eligible category for a total of nine. According to our predictions, she’s bound to sweep when winners are announced too, including historic victories for Entertainer of the Year and Female Vocalist. The awards will be handed out tonight at 8pm Eastern, live on ABC. (Click here to see our complete predictions by category.)

Lambert will win five awards according to the combined predictions of our Editors, Top 24 Users (highest scorers predicting last year’s awards), and All Users. In addition to Entertainer and Female Vocalist, she gets best odds to take Album of the Year (“Platinum“), Single of the Year (“Automatic“), and Musical Event of the Year (“Somethin’ Bad” with Carrie Underwood).
It would be Lambert’s first Entertainer of the Year win, and it would be a rare victory for a female artist. She’s the only woman among this year’s nominees – she’s up against Luke Bryan, Keith Urban, defending champ George Strait, and her husband Blake Shelton – and she’d be only the eighth female act ever to take top honors in the awards’ 47-year history. The last to do it was Taylor Swift (2009, 2011), but before her you have to go back almost a decade for another example: the Dixie Chicks in 2000.
Her husband, Shelton, previously won Entertainer of the Year in 2012, but this year is only expected to prevail in one race: Male Vocalist. It would be his fifth straight win in the category, which would tie the record set by Vince Gill from 1991-1995.
This year’s New Artist of the Year prize will go to Brandy Clark, while Florida Georgia Line will repeat as Vocal Duo of the Year, and The Band Perry will be named Vocal Group of the Year for the first time.
