Pujolsfan and two other users – orange’71 and jablm (69% correct) – outscored the best of our Editors. I led that group with 68%, followed by Paul Sheehan and Marcus Dixon with 66%, Robert Licuria with 64%, David Schnelwar with 61%, and Chris Beachum with 59%.
Among the nine categories, Best Writing Team was the easiest to predict, with an average user accuracy of 92%. Most predictors guessed that “The Bold and the Beautiful,” “Days of Our Lives,” and “The Young and the Restless” would be nominated; our prediction center allowed four predictions per category, but only three shows were nominated in that race.
The toughest category was Best Supporting Actor, where our predictions were 44% accurate. There were five nominees in that race, but few foresaw the surprise bids for Eric Martsolf (“Days”) or Dominic Zamprogna (“General Hospital“).
Overall, our Editors had the best predictions, averaging 64%. Users scored 58%.
