The Creative Arts Emmys take place this Saturday (Aug. 16) giving you precious little time to make or change your predictions in the race for Best Drama Guest Actor. Gold Derby polled 13 Emmy Experts and the consensus amongst our gurus is that Beau Bridges (“Masters of Sex“) or Robert Morse (“Mad Men“) will reign supreme on Emmy night. Do you agree with these findings?
Eight of the 13 Experts think the Emmy will go to Bridges: Robert Bianco (USA Today), Joyce Eng (TV Guide), Matthew Jacobs (HuffPo), Lynette Rice (People), Matt Roush (TV Guide), Paul Sheehan (Gold Derby), Anne Thompson (Thompson on Hollywood) and Ken Tucker (freelance).
Reg E. Cathey (“House of Cards“), Paul Giamatti (“Downton Abbey“) and Dylan Baker (“The Good Wife“) receive no first-place votes from our our baker’s dozen Emmyologists, although Cathey does score a second-place prediction from Jacobs.
According to Gold Derby’s official racetrack odds that combine the predictions of our Experts, Editors and Users, Bridges is currently in first place with 6/5 odds, Morse and Morton are tied for second place with 10/3 odds, Cathey is in fourth place with 20/1 odds, and Baker and Giamatti are tied for last place with 50/1 odds.
