Grammy leaders and music stars recently dropped by the Television Academy to offer Emmy voters a behind-the-scenes peek at the Grammy telecast and Grammys/CBS TV special “The Beatles: The Night That Changed America.”
Panel participants: Recording Academy President/CEO Neil Portnow, executive producer Ken Ehrlich, director Louis Horvitz, Talent Producer Chantel Saucedo, CBS executive Jack Sussman, and Grammy-winning musician and Blue Note Records President Don Was, who served as music director for the Beatles show. In addition, the panel was joined by Grammycast host LL Cool J, Nile Rodgers and Pharrell Williams, who performed on the awards show. Moderated by Los Angeles Times music writer Randy Lewis.
