As we can see in this newly released trailer for “Men, Women and Children” (watch below), director/writer Jason Reitman is revisiting a topic he explored so successfully in “Juno” – teen angst. Now he layers on parental angst, too, as we watch two lost generations in search of human connection via text message, web hookups and other forms of digital connection.
Paramount is giving this an Oscar-friendly release date of Oct. 3. Reitman’s “Juno” scored admirably with academy voters, nabbing four nominations and one win (original screenplay) in 2007. His “Up in the Air” reaped six bids two years later. Both film were nominated for Best Picture and Director.
“Men, Women and Children” is based on a novel by Chad Kultgen. Cast includes Ansel Elgort, Adam Sandler, Judy Greer, Jennifer Garner, Emma Thompson, Dean Norris, Dennis Haysbert, Rosemarie DeWitt and JK Simmons.
