Jennifer Lawrence has multiple MTV Movie Award nominations for the third year in a row. Of her previous bids, she won twice in 2012 (Female Performance and Fight for “The Hunger Games“) and twice more in 2013 (Female Performance and Kiss for “Silver Linings Playbook“). It’s fitting, then, that she’s predicted to win twice more this year based on our racetrack odds.
She’s the favorite to win Best Female Performance for the third year in a row, this time for reprising her role as Katniss in “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.” She gets overwhelming 2/13 odds; her nearest competition is Sandra Bullock (“Gravity“) with distant 20/1 odds.
She’ll also repeat to win Best Kiss. She won last year with Bradley Cooper for “Silver Linings,” and this year she’ll take the prize for another David O. Russell-directed lip-lock: with Amy Adams in “American Hustle.” As with Female Performance, she gets 2/13 odds, followed by the trio of Jennifer Aniston, Will Poulter, and Emma Roberts for “We’re the Millers” with 16/1 odds.
Lawrence is also a strong contender for Best Fight. She, Josh Hutcherson, and Sam Claflin fend off killer monkeys in “Catching Fire,” getting 11/8 odds for their trouble. They’re close behind the brawling ensemble cast of “Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues,” who have even odds.
