MTV Movie Awards: Will Paul Walker win posthumous prize for ‘Fast and Furious 6’?

The “Fast and the Furious” action franchise has never been an awards magnet, even at the blockbuster-friendly MTV Movie Awards. To date, the only award it has won at these kudos was Best On-Screen Team for Vin Diesel and Paul Walker for the first film in the series back in 2002.

Walker was killed in a car accident last November. MTV has honored his memory by nominating him and Diesel for Best On-Screen Duo this year for “Fast and Furious 6.” And it’s looking they will win according to our predictions.

Diesel and Walker lead our racetrack odds with 4/5 odds. They’re followed by the team of Ice Cube and Kevin Hart (“Ride Along“) with 4/1 odds, and close behind them are Leonardo DiCaprio and Jonah Hill (“The Wolf of Wall Street“) with 9/2 odds.

Walker wouldn’t be the first posthumous winner at the MTV Movie Awards. Heath Ledger was named  Best Villain in 2009 for his portrayal of the Joker in “The Dark Knight”; the 28-year-old actor, who also won a posthumous Oscar for his performance, had died a year earlier from an accidental drug overdose.

  1. I agree, he should get an award for the good he did. Not to mention he was a great actor he is still my favorite actor. He is the only person I ever wanted to meet.
