  1. To me, Snowpiercer is a masterpiece. One rarely gets the chance to watch a film combining with such vision and arthouse sensitivity sharp political commentary and exhilarating action. Watching it receive so much love from BOFCA feels really good. I doubt voters are able to connect with it though. Watching Two Days, One Night scoring two wins is great. Hell yeah, it seems like the phenomenal Marion Cotillard is sweeping the awards these days. I hope she will keep on earning accolades for her fantastic work in this film. Both her and the brilliant Tilda Swinton, who won deservedly for her incredible turn in Bong Joon-Ho’s film, are terrific actresses whether they end up getting acknowledged from Academy voters or not (unlikely probably for both) and have built a legendary status. That’s what truly matters. Edward Norton is really exceptional in Birdman, well deserved! I haven’t seen Calvary, but all I hear for Brendan Gleeson’s
performance is really good. He’s such a talented and underrated actor and I’m sure he’s brilliant in this as he always is.
