Our Experts, Editors, Top 24 Users from last year, and hundreds of other Users have predicted the winners of the Producers Guild Awards, which will be presented on Sunday night (Jan. 18), at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
The guild uses the same system of preferential voting as the motion picture academy and has presaged the last six films to take the top Oscar. In the 23-year history of these kudos, they have previewed 16 of the Best Picture champs. (Be sure to make your predictions for this category at the bottom of this post.)
Elsewhere, “Frozen” is the overwhelming frontrunner to win Best Animated Feature, while “We Steal Secrets: The Story of Wikileaks” is favored to take the Documentary prize.
PGA’s TV awards are mostly expected to follow the recent Emmy winners, with Best Drama going to “Breaking Bad,” Best Movie/Miniseries to “Behind the Candelabra,” Best Variety Series to “The Colbert Report.” and Best Reality-Competition Series to “The Voice.”
However, Best Comedy is expected to go to ratings champ “The Big Bang Theory” over four-time Emmy winner “Modern Family.” And “Shark Tank” is predicted to take Best Reality Series, with the Emmy-winning “Undercover Boss” not even nominated by the PGA.
