Razzie Awards update: What were worst movies from first half of 2014?

We may be just halfway through the year but there are already a bunch of box office bombs and critical duds to choose from for the Razzie Awards. Nominations for the 35th annual edition of this celebration of the worst of Hollywood will be announced January 14, the day before the Oscars unveil their contenders, while “winners” will be revealed on Oscars eve (Feb. 21).

Our forum posters have been buzzing about all the possible contenders. As My Existential Crisis wryly notes, “It’s a race to the bottom! Full speed ahead!” Below, just a sample of their savage comments.

It’s never too early to dish the Oscars & Razzies.

Tyler the Awesome Guy: I would love to see MacFarlane nominated for “A Million Ways to Die in the West” because that movie sucked “a million ways”.

LoveLocs: They might as well give Adam Sandler a Lifetime Achievement Award and call it a day.

Zayner: Nicki Minaj for “The Other Woman” is definitely the frontrunner for Worst Supporting Actress. The Razzies love nominating and awarding singers: Rihanna, Whitney Houston, Lady Gaga etc.

Teleflick: Transformers: Age of Extinction – The last two flicks in the franchise have dominated the Razzies (the second flick more so taking home Worst Picture) in the last few years. Will the fourth film with Mark Wahlberg taking over from Shia LaBeouf do the same?

Espeon: We can pretty much say Blended is the Razzie front- runner as of now
