Over the course of three “American Horror Story” seasons, Sarah Paulson has played a medium, a wrongly-convicted mental patient and a powerful witch blinded by acid. What could possibly be in store for her during Season 4, subtitled “Freak Show”?
That’s just one of the questions we will ask Paulson when she joins us for a live webchat this Friday, May 30, at 12:00 p.m. PT / 3:00 p.m. ET on Gold Derby’s home page.
This year for the first time, Paulson is jumping from the Movie/Mini Supporting Emmy race up to Movie/Mini Lead Actress. That means she’s going head-to-head with legendary acting icon Jessica Lange. If they’re both nominated for playing this season’s mother-daughter supreme duo, what crazy witchcraft are they going to use against each other at the Emmys?
The category switch also makes room for some of the show’s other supporting women to get nominated this year, including Emma Roberts, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Gabourey Sidibe and Frances Conroy. (Watch our recent webchat with Roberts here.)
Now that the TV Movie and TV Miniseries categories have split at the Emmys, could “American Horror Story” finally get its due at the top of the Emmy spotlight?
You can participate in our chat by adding your comments or questions in our chat room box that will appear next to the video box on our home page. Or you can participate over at our Google+ page in the Q&A chatroom there.
