“Oh, yes, I liked that one. I thought it was special!” Taylor Schilling tells Gold Derby about the “F*cksgiving” episode of “Orange is the New Black” when we chatted with her about which segment she should submit to Emmy judges if she’s nominated for Best Comedy Actress.
Gold Derby Editors have narrowed our recommendation down to two choices: the pilot or “F*cksgiving” in which her character is sent to solitary confinement as punishment for doing a bump-and-grind dance with her galpal in prison.
We point out to Schilling that there’s a danger to that submission since it’s a very dramatic acting sample that she’d be entering into a comedy race.
“I know! That’s really tough!” she admits, then sighs, “I don’t know. It’s hard to wrap my head around all this …”
(Frankly, we know what you mean, Taylor. We share your Emmy pain.)
But, hey, at least Gold Derby believes Schilling will be nominated. Watch her reaction in this video when we tell her about her excellent 13-to-2 odds: “Stop it! Oh, stop it!”
(Never, Taylor. Oh, never.)
