While Friday’s episode of “The Amazing Race” is likely to be another non-elimination leg, if a team is axed, both Amy and Maya and Brooke and Robbie have 9/2 odds of being eliminated next according to Gold Derby’s exclusive racetrack odds. But what does last week’s contest leader Adam Rock think?
Why did you predict Kym and Alli to be eliminated?
As soon as I saw in the preview for the episode that there was going to be a double U-Turn I immediately thought that Kym and Alli were going to be targeted by the other teams. They sort of hinted at this in the previous episode, that maybe those two weren’t exactly on the best of terms with the others. I ended up being correct for a different reason however as, Kym and Alli ended up being eliminated for their risk on the fast forward and not the U-turn.
Why are you predicting Amy and Maya to win the “Race”?
I really feel like I’m in the minority on this one. Sort of just a hunch, but I feel like if they can somehow get into that last leg they have a really good shot. Anyone who has watched the Amazing Race knows that the final leg always comes down to a mental/memory type of challenge and that’s where Amy and Maya have a clear advantage. I don’t think they have won any of legs up to this point because they mostly consist of strength/navigation type skill (which Amy and Maya are weak at) but that last leg is different. The key for them is just getting to the final leg.
Are they your favorite team this season?
This is one of the few seasons I don’t really think I have a favorite team.
Who do you think will go home next?
I think the next leg will be a non-elimination as it would probably go against some sort of Amazing Race law if it isn’t. After that though I do think Brooke and Robbie are the next team to go.
Who do you want to go home next?
Think I speak for most people here when I say Brooke and Robbie.
How long have you been a fan of the show?
About 5 years.
