‘The Amazing Race’ contest: Did you predict who would land in first place?

Congratulations to all of you who correctly predicted that father and son cancer survivors Dave and Connor would win this twelfth and final leg of “The Amazing Race.”  Watch our webcam chat with them at the bottom of this post. 

And commisserations to those of you had country duo Jennifer and Caroline in first; you should have gone with the majority who pegged them as the runners-up.

The team you love to hate — Brendon and Rachel — was relegated to third place. Throughout the season, they had been promising that they would have a baby if they won the million dollars. We will have to wait till he finishes graduate school before there is a little “Brenchel” unleashed on the world.

That last place finish was made even more stinging as they yet again made a mistake by not reading the clue completely. This rookie error kept them from tackling the Detour of replacing light bulbs in the sign high atop the Mirage hotel.
