‘The Bachelorette’ recap: Decisive Andi doesn’t hesitate to send three men packing

The Bachelorette” star Andi Dorfman clearly knows what she wants and what she doesn’t want. After a week of romance and high drama in Marseille, France, she decided to skip the cocktail party altogether and get straight to the rose ceremony, where she decided to drop the axe on three men.

The Bachelorette’ recap: Eric Hill’s farewell is both bitter and sweet

It wasn’t especially surprising that Andrew, Marquel, and Patrick were the ones sent home. They were among the top four contestants our users had predicted to be eliminated. And going into the rose ceremony, they were among the four men who still had not been invited on a solo date with Andi. Of those four dateless men, only muscle-bound personal trainer Cody got a reprieve for another week.

The triple elimination rendered much of this week’s interpersonal drama moot. Two weeks after accusing Andrew of soliciting a woman’s phone number, “pantsapreneur” J.J. once again had damning revelation about his rival that couldn’t be conclusively verified, this time that Andrew was racist and had called Marquel and former contestant Ron “blackies” during a previous rose ceremony.

During an uncomfortable group date that also included gratuitous acts of miming and accusations of Nick V. being arrogant, Marquel confronted Andrew, Andrew denied the allegation, and with no evidence to the contrary the matter was more or less dropped. J.J. got an early rose for the group date, and not long after, Andrew and Marquel were sent home.

Andi selected Josh M. and Brian for individual dates, but she was not without doubts about each. Former professional baseball player Josh reminded her of philandering athletes from her past, while Brian’s confidence was quickly dashed by the prospect of cooking frog legs. Both men relieved her doubts, however, and received early roses.

The remaining eight men are as follows:

Brian, 27, a basketball coach from Camp Hill, PA
Chris, 32, a farmer from Arlington, IA
Cody, 28, a personal trainer from Chicago, IL
Dylan, 26, an accountant from Boston, MA
J J, 30, a pantsapreneur from San Francisco, CA
Josh M., 29, a former professional baseball player from Atlanta, GA
Marcus, 25, a sports medicine manager from Dallas, TX
Nick V., 33, a software sales executive from Chicago, IL

  1. Juan Pablo was the last straw for me. I took an oath that I would not watch another episode of either The Bachelor or The Bachelorette where the Lead is nothing but a recycled loser from a previous season … which is all ABC has been doing with both shows for the last two years. And like I said, Juan Pablo was the last straw. I took an oath … and I have been true to my word. I have not watched one second of Andi Dorfman and do not intend to.

  2. Think the show sucks completely and as far as the happy whore Andi she quite the high end slut to be selling herself off, just like the bitch she is,,,this show is so disgusting to females everywhere.

  3. Ready for this season to be over. It is pretty obvious who she is going to choose. Boring season. Seems like a re-run from another season. The dialogue always seems scripted and the same!

  4. This woman is so desperate, she makes me sad to spell my name “woman”. She’s acts like a whore, kiss ever man on the show – well except for the black guy she found so “charming” HA!!! Saw that one coming, just another token on this pathetic show. How she can be “assistant district attorney” is beyond me, that’s why the system stinks, hiring desperate bimbo’s like this woman. I hardly watch this stupid show, but had dinner with a friend who thought it’s fun watching as it makes her feel better about her own life that sucks right now. Now is see why Juan Pablo could not stand her – she’s desperate and needy and will make out with any man who wont mind making out with her!!

  5. If you don’t like the show why do you watch it? It’s a fantasy show. Where else can you get the opportunity to meet men/women and go on fabulous dates, travel around the world, wear fabulous clothes and the added bonus of finding Mr./Mrs. right?

  6. Was so glad to see Eric Hill out Andi as the phoney that she is. This show has never been on my best reality show list, but Andi is by far the worst Bachelorette yet. If this is representative of our District Attorneys no wonder our court system is in so much trouble.

  7. Eric was so right when he showed her to be the phony that she is. She is absolutely the worst bachelorette that this show has ever had and I can’t stand to watch this drama queen. Juan Pablo is called the worst bachelor…and without a doubt she is the worst bachelorette!

  8. I have watched every bachelor and bachelorette show since they began but this is the most boring one that I have ever seen. The guys seem really nice, but I pity the one who is chosen by Andi. She is so full of herself that it is painful to watch. Boring……..
