Blake Shelton boots out two of his ‘The Voice’ team members

For the first night of the playoffs on “The Voice,” Blake Shelton was the only one of the four coaches to showcase his team. And he was forced to boot out two of his five remaining artists Tuesday.

There are now no more duo battles or saving steals from the coaches. It is strictly solo performances designed to impress their own coach.

Audra McLaughlin began the evening with a rousing version of the Martina McBride country hit “A Broken Wing.”

Next up, Ryan Whyte Maloney rocked the crowd with Shinedown‘s “Second Chance.”

Zedd‘s “Clarity” was the song selection of Madilyn Paige, who was stolen by Shelton just the night before to join his team.

Jake Worthington even impressed the other coaches with his country foot-stomper “Anywhere With You” by Jake Owen.

And finally, Sisaundra Lewis was the overwhelming favorite of everybody with the Billy Joel classic “New York State of Mind.”

At the end of the program, Shelton decided to keep Lewis, McLaughlin, and Worthington. Maloney and Paige are eliminated from this year’s competition.

Next week’s episodes will have Adam Levine, Shakira, and Usher each keeping three of their artists and kicking out the rest.

Of Team Blake’s three remaining artists, who could actually win “The Voice” this season? Vote in our poll below.
