Craig Wayne Boyd has had a strange ride on this season of “The Voice.” And now, according to your most recent predictions, he could be poised to win the seventh season championship. Along with Matt McAndrew, the two men share the lead in our predictions center.
The top eight remaining contenders will take the stage Monday on NBC’s reality program. Only six of them will still be eligible after the home audience votes are revealed on Tuesday night.
Boyd seemed to be eliminated several weeks ago by his coach Blake Shelton, but rookie coach Gwen Stefani stepped in to save him. She was then ready to cut the country singer, but Shelton used his final steal to bring him back to the original team. With all other contenders now gone, he is the lone survivor remaining for Shelton’s team.
Boyd and McAndrew are tied on top of the leaderboard at 11/2 (see chart at left). Each was among the best in vote tallies on last Tuesday’s results show for the NBC reality program.
Let’s take a look at the eight remaining contenders for this season:
Craig Wayne Boyd: 11/2 odds for Team Blake. From Nashville, TN. His songs this season have been “The Whiskey Ain’t Workin’,” “Wave on Wave,” “Can’t You See,” “Some Kind of Wonderful,” “You Look So Good in Love,” and “Walk the Line.”
