Your predictions were almost perfect this week for “The Voice” eliminations. Our users said that Sugar Joans, Ryan Sill, and Jessie Pitts would all be near the bottom, and they were. In fact, the only thing that saved Sill on Tuesday’s episode was a last-second social media vote that ultimately eliminated Joans and Pitts.
The Top 12 contenders were narrowed down to 10 on Tuesday night based on the home audience’s current vote tallies. According to your predictions (see chart at left), Sill was in 12th place at 50/1, and Joans was tied with Pitts in the 10th spot at 14/1. Chris Jamison was actually in 11th place but offered up a great performance on Monday that certainly saved him for the next live round.
In the last portion of Tuesday’s episode of the NBC reality program, the three artists at the bottom performed to be saved by the live home audience.
Sill (Team Gwen) sang “More Than Words” by Extreme.
Joans (Team Pharrell) sang “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” by Whitney Houston.
Pitts (Team Blake) sang “Gravity” by Sara Bareilles.
Joans and Pitts should not be completely upset, however. Host Carson Daly revealed Tuesday in a surprise twist that all of the eliminated artists from this point forward will be invited back to perform again near the end of the season. One of those contenders will be saved by the public to join the three finalists as a “wild card.”
Here are the top 10 remaining artists for next Monday’s live performance show:
