Miranda Lambert is the most nominated country artist at this year’s Grammys, and now the industry darling also leads the Academy of Country Music Awards nominations. She’s up for eight awards, followed by Dierks Bentley with seven and Florida Georgia Line with five.

Lambert is the only woman nominated for Entertainer of the Year. In that race, she’s up against Jason Aldean, Garth Brooks, Luke Bryan, and Florida Georgia Line. She’s also nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year, which she has won for the last five years in a row, Album of the Year (“Platinum“), which she has won three times before, and Single and Song of the Year for “Automatic.”
Lambert’s ACM dominance comes just a few months after she led the CMA Awards with nine nominations and four wins. But despite her esteem within the country music industry, she has struggled at music’s biggest event, the Grammys, where she has only ever won once.
With seven bids, Dierks Bentley is the second most nominated artist, but he’s absent from the Entertainer of the Year lineup. He is, however, nominated for Male Vocalist, Album (“Riser“), Record (“Drunk on a Plane“), Song (“I Hold On”), and Video of the Year (“Drunk on a Plane”).
Florida Georgia Line’s Entertainer of the Year nomination is the first for the popular duo. They’re also up for Vocal Duo, where they are the defending champs; Record of the Year (“Dirt”); and twice for Vocal Event of the Year (“The South” and “This is How We Roll”).
Bryan is back in the Entertainer race for the third consecutive year; he won in 2012. He’s also nominated for Male Vocalist, Song of the Year (“Drink a Beer”), and Vocal Event of the Year (“This is How We Roll”).
Also nominated for four awards are Kenny Chesney and Eric Church. Chesney is up for Song of the Year, Video of the Year, and twice for Single of the Year as an artist and producer, all for his song “American Kids.”
The ACM membership decides most categories, but an online fan vote will help select the winners for Entertainer of the Year and New Artist of the Year. The eight semi-finalists for New Artist are Brett Eldredge, Tyler Farr, Sam Hunt, Kip Moore, Thomas Rhett, Chase Rice, Cole Swindell, and Dan and Shay. Fans can vote online now to select the final three nominees, and then final online voting for Entertainer and New Artist will begin on April 8.
