Adele‘s first single in four years, “Hello,” is now the second-fastest video to hit 100 million YouTube views and the fastest to reach 100 million on Vevo, unseating the record previously held by Miley Cyrus (“Wrecking Ball”). Unsurprisingly, Adele’s return single also debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100. Now that her much-awaited third album “25” has finally been released, which of the other 10 tracks do you think should be her next hit single? Vote in our new poll below.
Her previous album, “21,” became one of the biggest hits of the century, winning seven Grammys over two years, selling 30 million copies worldwide and being certified 11-times platinum in the United States. She followed that up with the title song from the James Bond spy thriller “Skyfall,” which won her the Oscar for Best Song.
As of this writing, “25” has a score of 76 on MetaCritic. That doesn’t sound very high, but remember that “21” also scored 76 on MetaCritic when it was released in February 2011; critics didn’t jump on the bandwagon until after the album became a cultural sensation. Consider that Rolling Stone only gave “21” three-and-a-half stars out of five upon its release, but then named it the best album of the year months later.
That’s quite a lot to live up to. Does “25” rise to the occasion? Vote in our poll now and then sound off about Adele’s new album in our lively forum discussion.
