  1. She will LOSE if she goes up against Frances McDormand, Frances O’ Conner, her co-star Jessica Lange, AND recent Globe champ Maggie Gyllenhaal!!! Supporting is the only way to go, if she wants to WIN at least. 😉

  2. I still can’t believe she lost for Asylum. But yes, I echo Teridax. She risks not even being nominated if she goes lead. There are too many other women with much more screentime. Based on past AHS Emmy results, it seems to me the voters only really watch the first 3 episodes or so. Which is why transformative performances with an arc (like Paulson and Quinto on Asylum) are frequently overlooked in favor of performances that play well over a single episode (James Cromwell on Asylum). Paulson has the benefit of having a big impact and hefty screentime in the first episode of the series this year (even if Bette/Dot disappear for whole eps later on, as does basically every character on the show this season). So even if they only watch episode 1, she stands a good chance with a supporting bid.

  3. She is definitely supporting and should win there, such a special performance, but if a veteran actor is nominated alongside her, the emmy will go to the later. However, this season has been really weak, no surprise if it misses best miniseries this year, but the acting is strong, and many actors form the cast will be nominated.
