“American Horror Story Freak Show” fans, did you miss any of our exclusive Emmy webchats with the stars of the FX limited series? Fear not! We’ve listed them all below for your viewing pleasure, beginning with departing scene-stealer Jessica Lange and continuing on to Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Michael Chiklis, Angela Bassett and Finn Wittrock.
Jessica Lange on exiting the franchise: “I will miss the camaraderie that you naturally have working in a repertoire company. You’re working with the same actors for four years, knowing their rhythms, knowing they know yours. There’s something wonderful about that.”
Kathy Bates on her “Coven” Emmy victory: “When they called my name, I was just like, ‘What?!’ I was so gobsmacked, I forgot to thank Ryan Murphy, I forgot to thank everybody. I couldn’t remember anything.”
Sarah Paulson on playing Bette and Dot: “This was the hardest thing I’ve ever done, for sure. In the beginning it was an incredibly terrifying, overwhelming deal in terms of how we were gonna figure out how we were gonna do this.”
Evan Peters on playing Jimmy Darling: “You know, I wrote a list of all the horrific things that happened to Jimmy and I thought I’d read them off real quick.”
Michael Chiklis on his “Shield” Emmy victory: “It is true that everything slows down to a standstill and you can’t really feel your extremities. It’s really an out-of-body experience, particularly if you’re not ready for it, if you really aren’t prepared. And I was not.”
Angela Bassett on next season: “Jessica will definitely be missed. She was phenomenal to work with. I mean, all that she possesses, her well of emotion, how she gets it done. It was just marvelous to watch and to bear witness to. But we still got Kathy!”
Finn Wittrock on the underwear scenes: “First, [the producers told me], ‘You’re gonna be shirtless during Episode 5’ and I was like, OK, I can deal with that. And then I get the script and I’m like, this is a lot more than being shirtless, guys! Like, come on, you could have given me some warning.”
