Congratulations to our user TWTaylorHooper for winning this week’s episode contest. If eligible, this reader will win a $100 Amazon gift certificate thanks to reaping 80% accuracy and a 9,354 point score when predicting Top 7 Week. See contest rules.
TWTaylorHooper’s winning predictions were that Joey would be eliminated, that Rayvon Owen would earn the Idol Fan Save (for the third week in a row), that Jennifer Lopez would have “goosies” and that Harry Connick Jr. would not mention a singer’s “intonation.” He only missed out on predicting whether Keith Urban would give a standing ovation, which he did.
Joey was actually ranked third in Gold Derby’s predictions to go home with final odds of 12/1 (click on the left-hand chart for the episode’s full odds). However, TWTaylorHooper put his 500 point bet on that prediction when Joey had even lower odds of 16/1, thus reaping whopping 8,000 points. That’s why it’s advantageous to keep coming back to Gold Derby to see if the odds of your picks have gotten better or worse throughout the week.
Which singer will be eliminated next? Be sure to visit our predictions center and make/update your forecasts before voting closes Wednesday at 5 p.m. PT. The user with the highest prediction accuracy and most points will win a $100 Amazon gift certificate.
Where do you fall on our overall Season 14 leaderboard?
For the entire season so far, JB is still in first place with 62% prediction accuracy. As for JB’s winner prediction, he tells us, “I’d say Clark has this season in the bag. At this point, it’s a race for second place with Jax in the lead.”
Next up on our leaderboard is Phoenix in second place with 58% accuracy, followed by our frequent contest winner Denton in third place with 53%. Amikala is fourth place with 51%, while Povalles rounds out our Top 5 with 49%. Click here to see where you score on our overall season leaderboard.
Can YOU beat these frontrunners to win our prizes? Then be sure to take part in our “American Idol” prediction contest. We’re giving away $100 Amazon gift certificates to our weekly winners plus at season’s end. The deadline for each episode is Wednesday at 5 p.m. PT.
Our current overall leader JB correctly predicted Qaasim Middleton‘s exit in Top 8 Week. However, he missed calling Joey’s elimination this week (see complete predix), proving that it’s possible to do well in our contests without getting everything right.
Remember that coming out on top doesn’t just mean answering that week’s questions correctly. You also have to use your three big bets (500 points and two of 200 points) strategically to score the most game points. If you bet on a longshot who pulls off an upset, you can really rack up the points, so don’t take them for granted.
To vote for who think will go home next on “American Idol,” drag contestants over from the left to the right and arrange them in your predicted order.
