“I feel that Nick Fradiani may be the dark horse in all this,” says Gold Derby user Tyler The Awesome Guy in our “American Idol” Season 14 forum. “Remember that in Season 8, Kris Allen was the underdog and look what happened to him, beating the season’s MVP Adam Lambert for a win.” Do you agree or disagree with Tyler? Before the two-night season finale airs on Fox (Part 1 is Tuesday at 9 p.m.; Part 2 is Wednesday at 8 p.m.), let’s check in with more of our fiery forum posters to see what they think of Season 14’s ultimate sing-off between Nick, Jax and Clark Beckham.
Atypical: Nothing against Nick Fradiani, but him winning this season would be outright ridiculous. Clark vs. Jax for the season finale. Clark has the better chops, but he’s boring me to no end, and coupled with his douchiness last week, I think I’m Team Jax now, and I never would have thought that two months ago.
That Don Guy: Announcing the Top 2 one night and then the winner the next night does seem strange. Then again, hasn’t the winner always been announced the night after the Top 2 performance show?
BenitoDelicias: I really like these three, they have been the best artists all season long and they deserve their place in the competition. If something good happens to any of them, then great.
Vinny: I feel like Nick could do really well with the right songs. He reminds me a lot of Chris Daughtry and Chris has done really well … but I will give him credit on one thing that Chris hadn’t really tapped into: the teen girl vote. They seem to love him.
Tyler The Awesome Guy: An excellent Top 3, honestly one of the series’ best ever! … Will be excited for the finale and may the best one win.

Where do you fall on our overall Season 14 leaderboard?
For the entire season so far, JB and Phoenix have been in a hard-fought battle for first place, with JB taking the lead again this week with overall 66% prediction accuracy. Perhaps we should all listen to JB when he says that Clark will be the winner of “American Idol” Season 14.
There’s a three-way tie for second place now, with Phoenix (16,970 points), Ryan Lapierre (8,614 points) and Denton (7,994 points) all at 59% accuracy. Click here to see where you score on our overall season leaderboard.
Can YOU beat these frontrunners to win our prizes? Then be sure to take part in our “American Idol” prediction contest. We’re giving away $100 Amazon gift certificates to our weekly winners plus at season’s end. The deadline for the season finale is Tuesday at 6 p.m. PT.
Our current overall leader JB correctly predicted Rayvon’s ouster this week. However, he missed calling Tyanna’s elimination in Top 5 Week (see complete predix), proving that it’s possible to do well in our contests without getting everything right.
Remember that coming out on top doesn’t just mean answering that week’s questions correctly. You also have to use your three big bets (500 points and two of 200 points) strategically to score the most game points. If you bet on a longshot who pulls off an upset, you can really rack up the points, so don’t take them for granted.
To vote for who you think will win “American Idol,” who’ll come in second place and who will be third, drag your choices over from the left to the right. You can continue to update and change your predictions throughout the week, just click “Save Predictions” when you’ve settled on your choice.
