Who will win ‘American Idol’? See exclusive predictions

Based on the predictions of our users, Clark is predicted to win the season with odds of 1/1. Jax follows behind him with 2/1 odds, followed by Nick in third place at 9/1 and Rayvon way down in last place with odds of 50/1.

With overall support of 51%, is Clark going to win Season 14 in a landslide? Not so fast, according to some of our top predictors.

Two of our users who have the best prediction scores this season are predicting an upset by Nick: Benutty and NgoKhang.

Also among the 10% predicting Nick to win is last week’s $100 champion, FreemanGriffin. He was one of only four people to reap perfect 100% prediction accuracy while predicting Top 5 Week, however he took the lead (and the $100 weekly prize) with 3,002 points thanks to using his 500 and 200 point bets wisely.

Meanwhile, I’m one of the 33% of users who are going out on a limb for Jax, despite the fact that six of the past seven winners have all been guitar-playing, young white guys … just like Clark and Nick. (See our photo gallery of past winners below.)

‘American Idol’ recap: Did you predict shocking elimination of Tyanna Jones?

Where do you fall on our overall Season 14 leaderboard?

For the entire season so far, Phoenix and JB are tied for first place with 61% accuracy, though Phoenix’s point score (16,735) is higher than JB’s (2,915) thanks to locking in better odds and using his 500 and 200 point bets wisely.

Third place goes to Denton with 57%, and then there’s a three-way tie for fourth place with Benutty, Povalles and Ryan Lapierre all at 54%. Click here to see where you score on our overall season leaderboard.

Can YOU beat these frontrunners to win our prizes? Then be sure to take part in our “American Idol” prediction contest. We’re giving away $100 Amazon gift certificates to our weekly winners plus at season’s end. The deadline for each episode is Wednesday at 5 p.m. PT.

Our current overall leader Phoenix correctly predicted Tyanna’s ouster this week and Quentin’s exit last week. However, he missed calling Joey’s elimination in Top 7 Week (see complete predix), proving that it’s possible to do well in our contests without getting everything right.

Remember that coming out on top doesn’t just mean answering that week’s questions correctly. You also have to use your three big bets (500 points and two of 200 points) strategically to score the most game points. If you bet on a longshot who pulls off an upset, you can really rack up the points, so don’t take them for granted.

To vote for who think will go home next on “American Idol,” drag contestants over from the left to the right and arrange them in your predicted order.
