According to exclusive Gold Derby predictions, it’s going to be lights out for either Rayvon Owen or Quentin Alexander on “American Idol” Wednesday night. Do you agree or disagree with those odds? Hurry — make your predictions and you could win our weekly prize of a $100 Amazon gift certificate. It’s fun and easy, so start now by scrolling down and predicting who’ll be eliminated next.
Based on Gold Derby’s combined predictions, Rayvon is the likeliest to get the boot in Top 7 Week with 5/6 odds, followed by Quentin in second place with 4/1 odds.
Should I take a chance and risk my 500 point super bet on Quentin? (You also get two big bets of 200 points each every week; the other questions are set at 100 points per.) If I bet my 500 points on him and I’m correct, I’ll earn a whopping 2,000 points. Compare that to only 416 points I’ll receive if I put my 500 point bet on Rayvon, whose odds are much higher. This is where the strategy — and fun — comes into play here at Gold Derby when making your weekly predictions.
Our truly gutsy readers may even choose to forecast one of the other five singers to be eliminated, because if they’re correct they’ll yield even higher point scores. Currently, Joey Cook is in third place with 9/1 odds, Nick Fradiani is in fourth place with 20/1 odds, Jax is in fifth place with 33/1 odds, Tyanna Jones is in sixth place with 50/1 odds and Clark Beckham is in last place with 100/1 odds.
Do you think Rayvon or Quentin will be eliminated next, or somebody else? There’s still time to visit our predictions center and make/update your forecasts before voting closes Wednesday at 5 p.m. PT. Don’t forget, the user with the highest prediction accuracy and most points will win a $100 Amazon gift certificate.
It’s fair to say of this season’s eliminations, our readers correctly saw the past four — Qaasim, Daniel, Adanna and Maddie — coming a mile away.
Who’s next? Be sure to make your predictions now, as your picks influence our overall racetrack odds at Gold Derby.
Where do you fall on our overall Season 14 leaderboard?
For the entire season so far, JB is still in first place with 62% prediction accuracy. As for JB’s current predictions, he tells us, “I’d say Clark has this season in the bag. At this point, it’s a race for second place with Jax in the lead.”
Next up on our leaderboard is Phoenix in second place with 61% accuracy, followed by our frequent contest winner Denton in third place with 56% accuracy. Amikala is fourth place with 53% accuracy, while Povalles rounds out our Top 5 with 47% accuracy. Click here to see where you score on our overall season leaderboard.
Can YOU beat these frontrunners to win our prizes? Then be sure to take part in our “American Idol” prediction contest. We’re giving away $100 Amazon gift certificates to our weekly winners plus at season’s end. The deadline for each episode is Wednesday at 5 p.m. PT.
Our current overall leader JB correctly predicted Qaasim’s exit in Top 8 Week. However, he thought Tyanna would receive the Idol Fan Save instead of Rayvon (see complete predix), proving that it’s possible to do well in our contests without getting everything right.
Remember that coming out on top doesn’t just mean answering that week’s questions correctly. You also have to use your three big bets (500 points and two of 200 points) strategically to score the most game points. If you bet on a longshot who pulls off an upset, you can really rack up the points, so don’t take them for granted.
To vote for who think will go home next on “American Idol,” drag contestants over from the left to the right and arrange them in your predicted order.
