According to exclusive Gold Derby predictions, only three “American Idol” singers actually have a shot at winning Season 14: Tyanna Jones, Clark Beckham and Jax. Do you agree or disagree with those odds? Hurry — make your predictions now and you could win our weekly prize of a $100 Amazon gift certificate. It’s fun and easy, so start now by scrolling down and predicting who’ll be eliminated next.
Based on our combined racetrack odds for Top 7 Week, Clark is in the lead to win the season with 2/5 odds, followed by Jax in second place with 9/1 odds and Tyanna in third place with 12/1 odds.
After that, Nick Fradiani is hanging on in fourth place with 25/1 odds, and then there’s a three-way tie for last place with Quentin Alexander, Joey Cook and Rayvon Owen all at lowly 100/1 odds to win.
If you predict one of the frontrunners to win and you’re correct, you’ll earn 200 points for each week stuck to your correct prediction. Loyalty is rewarded so that if you switch your prediction, you’ll start a new count and may reduce your shot at the highest score.
I’m currently banking on Jax to win. Of the remaining seven singers, she by far has the most followers on Twitter. And while it’s true that Twitter followers don’t necessarily vote for their favorite singer every week (just ask Daniel Seavey), it still shows that her fan base is enormous.
Also, isn’t it about time that another woman won this show? Six of the past seven winners have all been dudes, so surely the time is now. See our photo gallery of past “Idol” winners.
It’s fair to say of this season’s eliminations, our readers correctly saw the past four — Qaasim, Daniel, Adanna and Maddie — coming a mile away.
Who’s next? Be sure to make your predictions now, as your picks influence our overall racetrack odds at Gold Derby.
Where do you fall on our overall Season 14 leaderboard?
For the entire season so far, JB is still in first place with 62% prediction accuracy. As for JB’s current predictions, he tells us, “I’d say Clark has this season in the bag. At this point, it’s a race for second place with Jax in the lead.”
Next up on our leaderboard is Phoenix in second place with 61% accuracy, followed by our frequent contest winner Denton in third place with 56% accuracy. Amikala is fourth place with 53% accuracy, while Povalles rounds out our Top 5 with 47% accuracy. Click here to see where you score on our overall season leaderboard.
Can YOU beat these frontrunners to win our prizes? Then be sure to take part in our “American Idol” prediction contest. We’re giving away $100 Amazon gift certificates to our weekly winners plus at season’s end. The deadline for each episode is Wednesday at 5 p.m. PT.
Our current overall leader JB correctly predicted Qaasim’s exit in Top 8 Week. However, he thought Tyanna Jones would receive the Idol Fan Save instead of Rayvon (see complete predix), proving that it’s possible to do well in our contests without getting everything right.
Remember that coming out on top doesn’t just mean answering that week’s questions correctly. You also have to use your three big bets (500 points and two of 200 points) strategically to score the most game points. If you bet on a longshot who pulls off an upset, you can really rack up the points, so don’t take them for granted.
To vote for who think will go home next on “American Idol,” drag contestants over from the left to the right and arrange them in your predicted order.
